Here at BodSchool, we realize that accountability is instrumental to improving your health. It’s much easier to eat well and complete your workouts when you know someone is expecting a good report from you.
Accountability can’t happen without an established relationship. A friendship in which you’ve invested time and energy.
BodSchool isn’t just a workout, it’s a community. And it’s for people from all walks of life. People just like you! Each month, we will be spotlighting some of our members here on the blog so you can get to know them and cheer them on as they progress towards their goals. Get in touch with today’s Spotlight student and the rest of the Bods on our Facebook page.
Please help welcome Lindsey Y. to the Spotlight!
Name: Lindsey Y.
City, State: Chattanooga, TN (Lindsey is a member of our eClass)
Tell us about your family and/or friends: My friends and I are pretty active with clogging, rowing, hiking, biking, etc. They have all started running races, relay half-marathons and such and I just can’t keep up. I can’t seem to train like them when my job is 10-11 hours a day and I have freelance work. I’m hoping this workout regime will help me figure that out.
What motivated you to join BodSchool? Seeing Abbi’s incredible change and being tired of not having energy to do the things I want.
What are some of your goals for this month with BodSchool? Get into a routine and learn new healthy habits.
What’s your favorite thing about BodSchool? I can work out at home and I still get a great workout instead of not really knowing what to do.
What’s your favorite strength training move? The one that has worked me most so far is shoulder raises…and since I only have 8 lb weights right now, it’s quite a workout 🙂
What new physical activity are you interested in trying? Paddleboarding!
What are your hobbies? Rowing, freelance graphic, web and tshirt design, crocheting, crafts
Name one long-term fitness goal: Run an entire 5k without taking walk breaks
What’s your biggest food temptation? Chips
What’s your favorite healthy snack? Carrots
Name one item of clothing you’re dying to wear: A dress I’ve had since high school that I’ve always wanted to fit into again.
Anything else you’d care to share? I LOVE to travel and I’d love to be in better shape so I can backpack and scuba and do mission work and do all the things I’m learning without getting winded.
